About Our Dentist in Teaneck, NJ

Dr. Lal Tharakan attended dental school at New York University, graduating in 2002. He takes continuing education courses each year to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry and provide his patients with quality care. He has practiced in the Teaneck area since 2006.

As a dentist, Dr. Tharakan’s mission is to provide treatment for the whole body with a focus on their teeth and gums. When you visit Dr. Tharakan, you will find a compassionate and gentle dentist that will treat you like his own family. He provides a full range of general and cosmetic dental services to achieve picture-perfect smiles and excellent dental health in a relaxed and stress-free environment. Dr. Tharakan is passionate about dentistry, and is always searching for the best ways to help his patients the most innovative and highest quality of care possible.

Dr. Tharakan and his wife have two children. His wife works for an accounting firm and both of his children are employed in the medical field. When not in the office, Dr. Tharakan enjoys playing pickleball and cooking, and loves traveling with his family to new and exciting places.

Pamela joined our team in January 2006. She loves the friendly faces of our team when patients first walk into our office, and our commitment to providing them with quality care. She also appreciates our team’s knowledge of dental insurance and ability to help patients understand their benefits, treatment costs and financial obligations so that they are never in for a surprise where their finances are concerned. Outside the office, Pamela enjoys baking.

Leslie joined our team in 2023! She enjoys welcoming our patients and helping them feel more at ease while they receive treatment. Leslie is also fluent in Spanish!
